You are mistakenly multiplying (-3) and (-3) first, that’s the mistake. As 24 ÷ (-3) × (-3) ….. = (-8) × (-3) ……
= 24 …..
That’s the correct version. When division and multiplication comes together, start solving from left to right, and solves for arithmetic operation which comes first (i.e division in the above question). You have read this in the concept, but missed this point here while applying that concept.
Mubasher brother, I am highly disappointed in you. I thought this forum was to help people secure their GAT but the way you are misguiding people has shocked me. As far as this question is concerned, simply put this into the calculator which will give ”-1.333”. Here is it: first, multiply the brackets, divide by 24; it gives 24/9 then in any order, add 4, and subtract 8( that is 2^3). It gives -4/3. So, for God’s sake, do not misguide people. I’m not biased but I think you have not understood the statement, fully.
Sir says that if the question is 24/{(-3)(4-7)}+4-2^3 instead of the given then the answer will be the one you have obtained when first doing the quiz.

if you are talking about this one
24 divide (-3)(4-7) + 4-2^3,
it is right and its answer is 20
I, already believed that the answer is correct but, also just checked it on the online calculator
and the answer was 20.
So, it is requested to all of you to look into the question at various angels and then react. It is these (meaningful) hurdles which can guide us towards a true GRE or GMAT exam.
